Shea Holbrook Back on Track in All New Honda Civic Si

The Pirelli World Challenge is back on track this weekend at Utah Motorsports Campus in Tooele, Utah for the Security National Mortgage Super Car Grand Prix after a 10-week break for Touring Car drivers and teams. Pirelli World Challenge veteran Shea Holbrook, who finished in second place in the 2014 Touring Car Championship, returns to competition in a new car for the remainder of the 2017 season. Holbrook will contest the highly competitive TCA class driving the all-new Honda Civic Si, a chassis that has shown considerable success even in its infancy.

Honda-specialists Shea Racing have been working with Honda Performance Development (HPD) all season on the development of the Honda Civic Si, so when Holbrook decided to make a mid-season car switch, the choice was easy. The car has achieved wins in both the Pirelli World Challenge TCA class with teammate Tom O’Gorman at the wheel and also in SCCA competition as well. Holbrook hopes to join her teammate on the list of Honda Civic Si winners this weekend at Utah Motorsports Campus.

“It feels great to be back in a Honda Civic,” said Holbrook. “I cut my teeth in professional racing behind the wheel of a Civic and this new car is truly an impressive machine. There is a lot of momentum behind the development of the car and the results speak for themselves. We have big plans for the car and are focusing on spearheading a 2018 Honda Civic Si TCA program capable of multiple front-running entries. I have to give a huge thank you of course to Honda Racing/Honda Performance Development but also our partners BUBBA Burger, Koni Shock Absorbers and Lucas Oil for their help in getting this new car out on track.”

Shea Racing partner BUBBA Burger will be on site at Utah Motorsports Campus on Saturday, August 12 hosting a cookout at the Shea Racing paddock that is open to all fans and teams at the track. BUBBA Burgers will be coming hot off the grill at 1:30 PM.

“Aside from racing, I am most excited about having BUBBA Burger out here with us this weekend,” said Holbrook. “We began this cookout tradition last year at Utah and it was an absolute blast so we decided to do it again. We’ve got enough BUBBA Burgers to feed the whole paddock and tons of swag and coupons so come out, bring your friends and check out the new cars. It’s going to be a great time.”
