Veterans Alvaro Parente and Patrick Long are separated by just nine points (1554 – 1545) as the two factory sports car drivers enter this Sunday’s Pirelli World Challenge GT season finale at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Parente, in the No. 9 K-PAX Racing McLaren 650S, has scored five feature wins in his rookie year in PWC while Long, the 2011 PWC GT champion in the No. 58 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R, has three sprint victories in 2016.

GT Practice sessions get underway today at 10:15 a.m. PDT Friday; live timing can be viewed at http://livetiming.net/pwc (link available from World-Challenge.com event page.)
