Audi Announces PWC Contingency Program

Audi Genuine Parts Contingency Program

Audi of America is proud to announce a contingency and support program for competitors racing the new Audi RS 3 LMS in the Pirelli World Challenge series. The program, known as the Audi Genuine Parts Top Performer contingency program, provides product and technical support to all Audi teams. It also pays out financial rewards for an Audi driver who finish on the Podium. The program promotes the use of Audi Genuine Parts both at the track and by local dealerships.

“Audi Genuine Parts is proud to offer a contingency program to Audi RS 3 LMS race teams,” shared Audi Parts Program Specialist Tony Russo. “The connection between Audi Sport Dealerships and the new RS products coming to market makes the partnership quite unique. Additionally, teams and dealers can rely on the quality of Audi Genuine Parts to ensure their cars are repaired to the highest standard. We are looking forward to a successful season beginning at Virginia International Raceway.”

The Contingency payout is as follows. If an Audi RS 3 LMS driver wins a Pirelli World Challenge race, Audi of America will pay that driver $3000 in addition to the prize money offered by the series. Second place pays $1500 while 3rd pays $750.

Audi Motorsports and Customer Racing Manager Tristan Hebert knows the value of contingency money to the Customer Teams. “We appreciate the partnership with Audi Genuine Parts, Audi RS 3 LMS Teams and Audi Sport Dealerships. Contingency programs motivate teams and drivers to compete at a higher level. As a former driver, we always worked harder to reach the podium and the contingency was a nice addition to the celebration.”

A unique aspect of the program is every team will get an Audi fluid support package that includes engine oil and brake fluid. In addition, Genuine Audi Gear Oil and Coolant will be provided to the teams. This will reduce the operating costs of racing the Audi RS 3 LMS and ensure reliability. This support is included as part of the overall Audi support to competitors.

Teams will be required to run a complete decal package and work closely with their local Audi Sport Dealer. That Dealer’s logo will be required on each car to receive contingency payouts. The Audi program also requires a full season commitment to the Pirelli World Challenge series and a social media marketing/Public Relations campaign from each Audi RS 3 LMS Team.
