Career Highlights: 2015 GTS Driver's Champion. 2012 Touring Car Drivers' Champion.
Previously: Began his racing career in 2009 via the Skip Barber Racing School system. Won three out of the four races that year. Moved to the Playboy Mazda MX–5 Cup series in 2010. In 2011, won the driver’s championship with six poles and five wins. This Championship earned Michael the Mazda Motorsports Ladder System award enabling young and talented drivers the funding to move up in the racing ranks. In the last race if the 2011 season, a grueling 25–hour non stop endurance event, Michael led the massive field of 86 cars to the victory in the E0 class driving the AMG Mazda MX–5. In 2012, won the Pirelli World Challenge with six wins and seven poles. Also claimed TC Rookie–of–the–Year. In 2013, he started nine TC races and won four races. Finished 5th overall in TC Driver’s Championship. In 2014, started two GTS races with two top 10 finishes including a 4th place at Miller in Round 16. In 2015, won the 2015 GTS Driver’s Championship on the strength of four wins and nine top 5’s. In 2016, started 20 GT races, recording two wins, 10 Top-5s and 15 Top-10s, finished 3rd in the Driver's championship.
