Personal Information

Married to Laura with three children. List his daily drivers as 2016 MX-5 Club, and an Audi S8, favorite food as good pasta, favorite TV show as This Week with John Oliver, first job as a dish washer at a diner, favorite track as Watkins Glen (pre paving). This is Fassnacht's first entire season campaign in one series. He is also racing in the Battery Tender MX-5 Cup Series and in a Radical SR3 and is ramping up in a Riley DP.

Previously: First Race, Road America, Skip Barber Mazdaspeed Challenge with a field of top SCCA SM drivers preparing for SCCA Runoffs, 2009, Mazda MX-5, finished 5th. 2009 Skip Barber Racing School and 2 Skip Barber Mazdaspeed Challenges. 2010 2 Skip Barber Mazdaspeed Challenges. 2011 1 Skip Barber Mazdaspeed Challenge – Fastest Lap at WGI 3/100ths off track record. 2012 Pro-IT events, Spec Miata events including my first Majors race. 2013 3 Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge (ST), SCCA Spec Miata and STL/ITS. 2014 2 Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge (ST), SCCA Spec Miata including 2 Majors. 2015 Spec Miata, STL and Radical SR3

Career Highlights: 2012 first season SM highlights: Podium in first Pro-IT Spec Miata race; 2 first place finishes at the NARRC Runoffs at Lime Rock and a pole, fastest lap and first place finish at NJMP. 2013 highlights include my first win at Watkins Glen, winning the Pro-IT race at NJMP and winning my first Monticello Motorsports Club race. It was a great thrill and quite a learning experience finishing well in three Grand Am Conti Series races with another rookie Dylan Murcott. 2014 netted 5 wins in 17 events including my first win at my favorite track, Watkins Glen in a tough field of 36 Spec Miatas. I had a great time running with Tom Long and Britt Casey in the Conti Series and Freedom Motorsports. In 2015 I ran almost all of my laps at MMC to refine the basics and increase consistency. 4 poles, 4 wins and 10 podiums in 20 races in 2015 with the highlight being my first pole in an SCCA Majors race.
