When off track Schwartz is active in charitable causes for the drive4diabetes.com program and BMW, he is married with two children.

Previously: Schwartz has 27 years of racing experience in 100+ formula car, karting, SCCA, NASA, Grand Am and World Challenge events. Factory Instructor for BMW at Spartanburg BWM Performance Center. NASA Champion, Multiple Wins and Pole position in Grand Am and World Challenge. Multiple karting wins in both sprint and endurance formats in the US and Europe. World Record Holder 2013 - Longest Continuous Drift 52.278 miles BMW M5. After a test day working with program D4D guest coach Charlie Kimball at VIR, Schwartz joined the Garrett Racing, Drive4Diabetes.com, Driver Development Program in July of 2013 as a coach and co-pilot with Chase Pelletier in the American Diabetes Association/Animas/American Honda/ #12 Honda Fit. Schwartz finished 7th at Sonoma in his first team outing and 4th under caution at the Houston season finale. Schwartz is back for the 2014 Pirelli World Challenge season co-piloting the American Diabetes Association/Animas/American Honda/ #12 Honda Fit in TCB. In 2014, made three starts in TCB recording three wins (Brainerd and Miller) and six top 5s. Finished eighth overall in drivers' championship.
